Who’s Who?

First and foremost we are Classic Mini enthusiasts ourselves, however we also use our passion to provide a club that other fans of the marque can also enjoy and use as a club to meet other likeminded people, get technical knowledge and support or just to provide an excuse to get our little Minis out in the open for the public to see. Here is a little bit of background on the people that make this club happen behind the scenes:

Marcus – Club Chairman

Hi I’m Marcus have had minis from when I was younger, at the age of 40 I had a mid-life crisis and bought myself a Mini for my fortieth birthday. That feeling it leaves you with was back and I have acquired a couple more, but keeping them on the road is an expensive passion.

Andy – Treasurer and Events Organiser

Hi I’m Andy I’m the treasurer and events organiser for NAM. I started working on minis after buying one for my son to restore approx 17 years ago.  It was a bare holey shell that we fully restored over about a year.  Since then I got the mini bug and have bought restored and sold a few, and of course kept a few, some of which go to the club meetings. Within our club we have several members with a good knowledge on the classic minis from 1959 – 2000 models.

Helen – Club Secretary

I’ve been a Mini car fan since about 5 years old; our next door neighbour owed a well looked after Mini Clubman and she kindly took my sister & I on a day out in this different little car. It felt like being chauffeured in a Rolls Royce! I have owed two Minis so far. My first mini was on its last legs and seized up after 18 months. The second I bought brand new in 1997 & I still enjoy driving it 25 years later, the plan is to keep it running for another 25!
